Abstract: In high current applications with high inductance load, Phase Shift Full Bridge (PSFB) converter is widely used with advantages of Zero Voltage Switching (ZVS) and high power density conversion. In general, high inductance load makes low response of output current. One current controller is difficult to control the output current with var-ious value of inductance load. This paper presented the performance of converter with inductance load and a new current control scheme to im-prove dynamic response of output current with inductance load. En-hanced dynamic model is used which includes circuit parasitic, leakage inductance and inductance load. Effect of changing of inductance load was analyzed in detail. Proposed current control scheme is designed based on phase margin specifications. Both the existing and proposed current control schemes were confirmed by simulation result. The per-formance of designed controller is verified by a 500A phase-shift full bridge converter.
